Big Game Hunters - eight player map for melee play.
It is not a replica of Big Game Hunters, it is an adaptation for Starcraft's 2 gameplay and mechanics. It is a small map best suitable for rushes, micromanagement and plenty of action.
I kept it small like the original one just for that early rush action.
Untill new starcraft launcher will be released for patch 9 you can use this map.
Simply load the map with Starcraft Edit and run Test Map. It uses Blizzard Ai.

I'm also getting the "invalid main state" error for computer players on custom maps. Anybody have a solution?

Still no launchers yet for patch 9/10 :( Tedious mapinfo converting will have to do for now.

Anytime I try to play vs the blizzard AI for this map or any galaxy editor map (through the galaxy editor) I get invalid main state for each of the computer AIs and they only mine and do no build. Any way to fix this? I'm playing on patch 9. I've tried reinstalling the game twice.

How is this BGH? The idea of BGH was unlimited resources. This map is remake of The Hunters original map (a nice one tho, realy love it:))
To make it true BGH, you'd have to double number of mining nodes at each expansion (to a total of 16 mineral patches ans 4 vespene geysers per base) as well as increasing the stock of resources in each node about ten times.
Simply load the map with Starcraft Edit and run Test Map. It uses Blizzard Ai. You need to have patch 9
This map doesn't work with lazylaunch... There isn't any way to load it?

Map redone, used cliffs, balanced the placement and the size of ground for each player. Balance resources and much more. :P i liked your ideea for the destructible rocks in the centre.
lol, that'd be quite a sight. Likely because it lacks cliffs. For some reason it looks a lot better in that preview than in the editor. Maybe because of the color of the water.
What Program do you use to lunch this?

your verssion is better, because it uses cliffs and it seems that my map have one glitch: zerg's creep is growing under the water :(
I'll download this and compare it to my version. ^.^
Update:
I checked it out and I'm gonna be brutally honest with ya, it's pretty ugly, only resembles the old version in how its water and resources are placed, and there are pieces of connected land and areas of water that shouldn't be there. The connected lands that shouldn't be there are only blocked off by trees (which also shouldn't be there). The path-blocking for the water is VERY sloppily done. Nice try though.

I didn't use cliffs, instead I used path blocker for units to not get in water. yes there is hilly terrain and and shallow waters. sorry for my english.
Did you manage to get the cliffs setup? or is it just hilly terrain?
Fixed Gas placement and textures missing.
