Loyalty -BW-Map_God 25 Very good terrain design, and mineral placement--definitely worth a shot! Dirty World -BW-Map_God 25 Very nice terrain design, good mineral placement--definitely worth a shot!
Rarely do I have the same comment on a map--and I have been sorting through the melee section fixing some issues with map names and descriptions recently. I have only commented on good maps to help single them out from the literally over a thousand bad melee maps on the site in hopes others will see the comment note and rate the maps themselves so that the melee section is finally in order. My comments are constructive-not two word comments that don't explain why a map is bad or whatever.
And that's precisely the point, "this sucks" does not help anyone. Maybe the map does suck, maybe I should rename this site "learn-constructive-criticism.com". Explaining, appropriately, why a map is bad can be very helpful to the author, and it's what comments (on this site) are made for.
ROFL. "Learn constructive criticism.com" dcramer I love it. I want this site. NOW. =P
Seriously, after almost 4 years of map development about 1/4th of the people I've tested with, played with, and overall gotten comments for it's either "This map sucks, is bad, etc." and another 1/4th is "This map is cool/good." Its like, THANKS FOR TELLING ME, NOW TELL ME WHY YOU THINK THIS IS OR YOUR OPINION IS WORTHLESS. At that point the people who think it sucks just leave or never respond again. At least half the people I meet actually say something productive, be it negative or not.

Ugh. So annoying.
Ya, the "this is the best map" is ALMOST as bad, but it's not negative, so I'll deal with it unless its spam.
what about those comments like "best game ever!" "epic game" "great game"? these should be considered as unconstructive comments / spam though..
