I believe there are many other people like me that use Nibbits as the only source for good quality maps, instead of searching all around.
Recently, we have been gifted with many map makers that post their maps here, and read our feedbacks and use them to improve their maps, instead of only trusting in their own map's communities.
What I'm asking here, is that all these map makers (including me) post in their projects the change log of their maps, since we've been seeing many updates of good maps on the past weeks, and we have to go to the map's site to check what's new (for those who go that far).
So, to improve the Nibbits community, and help us to help you, what about posting your change logs each time you update your maps?

My changelogs are usually over a page long, sometimes 2-3 pages, and I've posted them before except it ends up being in 6-7 comments.
hmmm, in this case perhaps you could post a direct link to the change log in your map's page. Would it work?
Yea, put it in your projects page, or put the change log for each version on your map description. The char. maxes are long enough to allow for that. You definitely don't want to spam comments with change log info though.
I could add change logs to the system, one per map version.
How would that be different/better from just putting a list of change logs in the description as we can do now (unless it gets super super long...)?
Well, it could be an easy list so you could see what changed in what version on one page.
Doing a changelog section sounds way better. Like for example, when you go to getdota.com theres a link for the changelogs, it's really nice and simple. Seeing things like that for maps would be cool. Even better would be getting say 5 xp for posting a changelog (a real one, not just a one liner) for developers who like to keep their fanbases informed of changes.
i support this idea dcramer. More serious players like to keep track of what's new (me included) and it makes them (us) feel like "oh! They've changed that, i need to play the map asap!
You hit the nail on the head; that's precisely the reason why I meticulously document my changes.
I HATE doing a log but I suppose that if there was a field that I could use to show them I would use it. I noticed a section for "pending changes". Would it be that hard to add a change log?
I always document my changes and post them in a change log when I post a new version of a map. I'm still not quite seeing how this new feature would be simpler than just posting the change list in order on the map description explaining it is the change log but I guess if it helps others out I am for it.
Simplicity, ease of use, and bonuses for developers who actually spend the time to inform people, seems like a win win win.
I believe it's quicker than browsing through 3-4 pages of comments looking for a change log that might even not exist.
And I'm sure dcramer is going to add those "(1)" on the Change Log tab to inform players if there's a log or not.
Other than that, yes, I believe it would be the same thing as simply posting as a comment.
PS: Oh, and change logs can be quite large for a comment some times.

Yea, but that map had more room in the description for a detailed change log--there wasn't really a reason to put it in the comments. I mean you weren't anywhere near the max characters.
I'd rather leave descriptions for the map itself and not for changelogs
