imo the best map editor available ^_^ http://www.stormcoast-fortress.net/downloads/scmdraft2ZIP/
although not perfect it has many things you can do with it. I think you might have to download a something different to protect or compress the map. Compressing your map could shave down the file size a bit and be more download friendly.
It's very difficult to find a protector that can't be unprotected but there are a couple.
to get sound files into your map you have to change them into .WAV files.
I recommend Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
to either edit the file or simply transfer it from being an .MP3 or whatever to a .WAV
Once the file is a .wav just go to Scmdraft -> Scenario -> Sound Editor -> Browse -> Select File -> Add File
and there you go. I suggest low quality wavs or the file size will be large. There is also a play wav trigger for whenever you want that sound to play in game.
