Open question for all, I'm interested in the responses. Maybe a map I've never played or given a serious shot.
That's hard to answer, as maps have many different dimensions, or different "directions" they go in. Another factor could be the mood I'm in. Maybe I want to play a simple minigame map, or a complex puzzle RPG?
There are too many factors just to name one map, so it's hard to answer.
That being said, I'm gonna have to say Azala's 90KB RPG. ;)
Well, I love A LOT of maps here, but my favorite hasn't made it here... It's a Korean map, I THINK, called Old and New, introduced to me by some Korean friends. It's a team... well... assault/defense? Where you spawn units and kill temples, eventually getting to the enemy's "home base" and trying to blow that up.
It's so addicting to play, especially when you have about 150 hydralisks or something and they're all charging at the same time, or 30 battlecruisers are simultaneously firing a Yamato Cannon at the temple then BOOM! You win.
I'll try to upload it... Not sure who the real maker is, though...

I have never played that. I remember it being hosted around a year or two ago, though, the name is familiar. As long as the language barrier isn't a big problem I'm all for trying it.
simcity god + balance :) the file for the map is simcity 4000 tho :D
It's got to be Battlecruiser Command for me-- it's not advanced, not that complicated, and not at all easy to get a good game going for, but the balance, the strategic possibilities, the fast-action moments, and the team-based gameplay are just so excellent that, as far as I have seen, nothing has quite topped it.
Lurker Defense XYZ for sure. Point system keeps making you want to do better, even though you've already won countless times. Although there seems to always be one clueless person on your team, unless you get a private game going.
Definitely hard to say considering they're so many genres of maps but If I had to pick one I'd say Winterglades RPG.
Its a classic rpg made with the original campaign editor and proves that an old map can still be fun. It's got an entertaining story and is really challenging.
If you can actually beat it my hats off to you.
i think i played that Lurker Defense once or twice with my friends...its a cool map.. :)

I agree, I love LT. Most of my wins came from LT, nad most of my maps r based on LT. But I usually play UMS so I'll say Special Forces Extreme or maybe Builders and Fighters(doesn't matter which version).
