IMHO, comments like this should be enough for the people who care enough about stolen maps to go get the original instead. They at least lessen the need for deletion.
I think this map should be kept because it's a popular version. Probably the only one played on battle.net.
I've also heard from other people that this is a superior version.

Is that the best you can do?
I'm rather inclined to believe you in this case (the edit really is terrible, compared to the original), but attacking it on only one criterion is not a particularly sound strategy - especially if that criterion does not exist in the site rules.
Seeing as how this is one of the first, if not THE first map to be deleted here, it's a good idea to justify it as thoroughly as possible.

Put together some sort of argument that this map is a fraudulently trivial edit, including a link to the original (if it hasn't been uploaded yet, do so).
