what does this mean. .he link in the middle at the bottom of the site is saying the maps i made are being authored by 1889 which is not a user.
im jus confused please help.
It seems like a bug. I even can't approve these changes or whatever. But anyways, you're listed as the author still.

Pending changes made by a non-author of a map get thrown in the queue: http://www.nibbits.com/queue/
and are manually approved, if I remember correctly.
when i got to the pending user changes link at the bottomo it say that my map twilight was changed to the author to 1889
on the page it still says that im the author i just dont get why it says its changed
Look, bongrippen, you had most likely accidentally changed the author to the 1889 twice before you became the author. Now the changes are still there waiting to be approved. The only thing I can't get is how to approve/disapprove that to delete them from the list.
Azala, the maps are right there in the list you linked to.
You have to be a moderator to modify the pending changes.
This is something that's going to slightly change in the future, when I figure out a good solution to it :)
As for it showing "1889" this is just something the system doesn't handle yet. That's your user ID, rather than your username.
Awww, I see dcramer... Why not to allow everyone to approve changes? You might apply ideas I posted here for approving changes too.

What do you mean by link to post?
Like on SEN, each post has it's unique ID in the thread. You can click on the post number in the top right corner to copy/paste direct link to that post (I'm not telling this is the best way, it would be better if I could just click on the button and it copy/pasted the link automatically). When one follows that link he goes to the post instead of the end/beginning of the thread.
Also, if that everything I posted seems a bit difficult to start from, for pending changes you might just have a separate group of "trusted" users who can just approve changes. How to choose them? Well, I can name few people I trust, I believe azala and other moderators can name few too. As the general rule I suggest give moderators a privilege to set such people. If one of them makes something bad, this could be easily reported by anyone and moderators can delete such a user from the list of "trusted" people, they may also write something in their personal "file". If you're concerned about such a man makes too much "bad" changes at one time you may limit the number of available approvals per day for example (this might depend on XP, the more XP one has the more approvals he may do daily or something). Also, you may not allow these people to approve their own changes.
Pushing live a Permalink button right now. However, you'll have to right-click->copy link location if you want the *true* permalink.
Otherwise it will just forward you to the appropriate page/post, which in most cases, is fine. That link would only change if there were a number of post deletions or something causing it to shift pages.

Yea, I usually check pending changes every few days and approve them when appropriate (IE, five requests for same thing I only approve one, etc.)
Occasionally I miss them for like 3-4 days. Anyway just be patient :-).
