  • Yea, that's why I protect maps, a basic protection that can be unprotected will at least keep little kids away. I think most people would rather just make suggestions to you on a map if you have contact information avaiable on it than go through the trouble of trying to rip your map. There aren't a lot of skilled map rippers. It's nice that most maps can be looked at as many map makers are lone gone and now if you run across a map with serious glitches you can hopefully fix it all up (while keeping original person's credit and just adding credit for what you did).

    Uploading maps on sites helps of course.

    Excalibur, I hope your not promoting one of the protections that doesn't allow anyone with a MAC to play and crashes the game in briefing if you have one player on a MAC in game. There are a couple "un-publically broken" protectors but most of them have some nasty side effects for b.net playability (IE Mac users won't like them so much :P).
