Seeing things as they are & just cuz starcraft is filled with some of the world's stupidest human beings (including hackers), I'm pretty sure some ppl are spamming dl's.
So, can the website add a feature that lets you track all the IP addresses that downloaded the map? Or is this technically impossible?

I see all sorts of users who are not activve in the forums but they are quite busy giving maps ratings, comments, dl's, etc. It's bullshit.
Spam ratings have only happened a few times (from same IP's) and for the most part have been removed. I am pretty sure there is a system in place for downloads, I've noticed whenever I download a map on firefox though it shows up as two downloads...not sure why. Sometimes it does appear maps are getting a download boost, but its kinda hard to say sometimes.
As for users not doing much while some people have apparently made spam accounts to rate stuff excessively down or up I think a lot of those people are ones who might have registered to comment/rate some maps they like or whatever. So we don't want to just start banning people that ignore the forums. Anyway, at least the top commenter/rater of maps is active in the forums ;-) (ME :D!).
EDIT: Not to mention people could ask their friends from battle.net to register and while there at it maybe comment/rate some maps.
Downloads are MUCH more difficult to spam. Ya, you could, but I'm not going to say how, and it doesn't really help you out much. That's about all I'm going to say right now about that :)
