Work together with your teammates and try to eliminate the enemy units each round before the timer runs out. If you don't you lose a life for each unit left over. Between rounds try to get poker hand combination's which give you units and money and some combination's of which can be traded at the bottom for special units and other things.
Fun defense map thanks largely to the Poker element, it's fun trying to change your cards to get those combination's that really unlock a lot of possibilities later on. Definitely worth a shot, and terrain is great despite the fact the map preview isn't showing on this site!
