Your Team has five lives to work with, try to survive each wave with the units your given by using superior tactics. Try to survive all 38 stages, or at least enough that you don't lose your five lives. Lives are shown by crystals in the bottom right corner.

Work together with your teammates and try to survive as many waves as you can without losing more than four times. It's pretty hard, I've lost the first five levels quite a few of the times I've tried this, though usually its because someone on the team is stupid. This is a good challenge though and its nice you kind of get a second chance even after potentially initially failing.
