A historical map based on the Crusades of the 11th to the 13th centuries. Following the success of the First Crusade, Crusader states were established along the shores of the Levant, which include the Principality of Antioch, the County of Tripoli, the County of Edessa, and the Kingdom of Jerusalem. From the First Crusade onward, the Christians and the Muslims would fight a series of bloody King-of-the-Hill wars to maintain dominance over the Holy Lands. At the same time, the Byzantine Empire must survive the onslaught on the Seljuk Turks, lest they be swept away in the tide of time.
