Found this hidden jewel in the map packs. Turns out to be a fairly made advanture/puzzle type of game that feels quite similar to the series. Lots of intense actions, huge area to explore, complex triggers, multipult endings, and even features a epic feel movie like intro, which upon replay you can skip it by moving the probes in the right lower corner of the map onto the beacon. Allied vision is left off by default probably for realism, but for a random pickup team you might want to share vision. Once you gain control after the intro, the rollercoaster ride starts!
= Gameplay =
The map features the classic inventory system, as well as a polished ammo system that functions like how it should be, and a experience system that allows players to learn new abilities and trade for bonus items that are crucial to overcoming challenging situations. The background is detaily made, such as every small doors on the walls are really functional, you can go through them by taking your character right in front of the door. There are tons of secrects on the map - secrect levels, items, even characters, so keep an eye out. NOTE THAT IT HAS TO HAVE MULTIPULT PLAYER TO START THE GAME OR IT'LL END AUTOMATICALLY!
Unlike many kill and grow rpg maps where you are given high defence which allows you stand on the spot and watch your character kill off the surrounding mobs one by one, in here, you will have to do what you can to minimize the damage taken. For example, if you see a group of zombies running right at you, what you do? Fall back to your teammates' shooting radius and let your buddies provide cover for you. Taking good care is the key for survival especially in the beginning where you have weak defence. The bosses here are also quite different from typical ones, many would require you to think and plan before engaging them to achieve a much better outcome. So as you may expect from the console series, RE-x also have many puzzle/challenge elements, so if you are stuck, think about what's happening.

[Actions]
Various actions can be done during game play such as healing yourself and casting a skill. Each action has its own area in the right edge of the map. Its very helpful to hotkey the respective probes ( especially the inventory probe for healing) for your own convinience.
Using items - Inventories of each character are located at the upper right edge of the map. Use the probe to bring the item into the beacon to use.
Upgrading - If upgrade parts are found, upgrade is available at the terran upgrade building in the inventory area.
Performing skills - bring probe in skill section into the beacon next to the object with the skill name.

Skip Intro - Intro movie can be skipped by having each player taking the probe to teh beacon in the center. This area is located at the very bottom right edge of the map.
[Items]
Ammo - Found scattered all over the complex. If count drops to zero, your character will be sitting duck until more a found, automatically loads.

[Special Tech (Skills)]
These skills use up spirit points (archons in the lower right edge of map), which will regenerate over time. Different characters will have different SP generation rates. Survival spirit levels accounts for the entire team, the stronger your team the faster your survival spirit levels up. When it levels the teammembers will learn a new skill as well as gain an increase on the SP generation rate.
Neutron Bomb - kamikazi, instantly kills everything around the character and critically wounding self. Desperate attack.
Spidermines - lays mines around the character, useful in various situations. Watch for splash damage!

Antipersonel Missles - Character shoots out barages of scarabs!!! Watch for splash damage!
Finale Attack - Release a controllable ball of plasma, killing everything in its way. Use up all of your ammunition!
[Bonus Items]
The upper left corner displays the list of ammos and experience of the characters. Your character will earn bonus credits as you gain experiences. You can use these credits to trade for various enhancements, from extra upgrades, recruit survivors to fight with you and even revive yourself! This section is located above the SP (archons).
= Story =
Background-wise, the players have cameo names, but the story is not to reliterate the ones in the series with futuristic visuals. It starts with you jumping right into the role of a member of a recon squad send out by a large space military expedition force to explore a new planet.Upon your return from scouting mission you found your entire homebase has turned into a tomb of walking dead. As you continue investigating, the main entrance mysteriously shuts off and the base initiates self destruction countdown. Having no way out, your only hope now is to go in deeper into the complex and attempt to make it to the ships hanger where you can escape by taking the transporter ships before the base self destructs.. The questions of the plot will be answered by the multipult endings which will piece together a suprisingly complex scifi story.
If you are looking for some serious fun, survival horror, exploration and adventure, RE-X delivers!
Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have. May you make it to the best ending!
