Is there any way that you can implement an option where we get to choose how many chips we start off with?

    No, not really.

I made the map specifically around the starting 150 minerals and it would require a lot editing to change that.

I see. That's unfortunate because I play this with only a few friends and we find that 150 doesn't usually last very long. Now, out of curiousity, are many of the triggers based on the assumption that everyone starts with 150 chips? If so, then I can understand why it would be so hard to add a "starting chip amount" feature.

Well, the main restriction is the total number of chips at the table which is 900. I suppose I could increase the starting chip amounts based on the starting number of players.

    For example, 450 in a 2 player game, 300 for 3 players, 225 for 4 players, and 180 for 5 players.

Raising the total amount of chips above 900 would mainly affect the display triggers, because those only go up to 900. However, I think all of the other triggers that deal with the actual distribution of chips can handle up to 2000 without having to add any more triggers.

If you should find a bug (hopefully you don't), save a replay please. It would be very helpful in fixing the problem. The more information I know about it the better.

You can post about it at http://www.staredit.net/topic/32/0/
or find me on battle.net on the account President-Obama.

I'm also taking other suggestions, because I'll most likely be working on a version 1.11

I'm going to release version 1.11 within the next few days.

The main changes are a redone pregame selection with more options, the ability to cover and uncover your hole cards by moving your shuttle, and some revised messages.

More details and screenshots here: http://www.staredit.net/topic/32/0/

This new version has a redone pregame selection with more options added. You can choose an alternate starting chip amount which varies depending on the number of players and you can choose the length of the turn timer.

There's also more detailed ingame messages as well as new ones.

You can also now cover and uncover your holecards by moving your shuttle.

Easily one of the top 10 maps ever created, especially in terms of technical achievement and replay value.

It's a full 6-player tournament Texas Hold'Em simulator, with virtually no bugs. The game system takes a bit of getting used to, but given the limitations of SC triggering, you can't do any better.

This version fixes a small bug in 1.11 where only blue had a voter. It didn't affect the game at all, but made it impossible to vote ban and vote auto-fold on a player.

Another addition is that when you unload the goliath it will now ping the position of your holecards. This is helpful for first time players who have trouble finding their cards.

I can imagine it now - noobs asking "where's the goliath?". X_X

No matter what you do there will always be a base intelligence requirement for the game.

Even so, having a way to ping the location of the holecards is helpful and it's easier to direct someone to unload the goliath from their shuttle than to direct them to the location of their holecards.
