  • I'm not sure but I think Coll is broken and that's a bug relating to the vic/defeat triggers. To win, your enemies must have 0 hatch/lair/hive/cc/nexus. To lose, you must have none of them. Its the easiest way for me to put in victory triggers without doing a ton of extra work. I suppose if I do resume production, because right now 1.00 is on hold, I'll have to figure out something else.

  • I'd like to point out to my fans that there are indeed people throwing low ratings at this map. However I send everyone who votes a 3 or lower to come forward and tell me what they didn't like so I may improve it.

    None have said a word.

An unsupported rating might as well be a spam rating in my eyes, but I leave you this thought:
Should those who do with reason be outweighed those who do not?

  • -I wasn't aware anyone used sunkens against bunkers. I've never seen such a thing.

Simply, just use the fact sunk has greater range than bunker, you can kill the bunker using single sunken, this way, one can get very big territory before getting iron age.

  • 1) Are you sure you wanted the bunker to be killable very easily with sunken? This way I can get a lot of resources quite quickly.

-I wasn't aware anyone used sunkens against bunkers. I've never seen such a thing.

    2) The map is too big, seriously, in the later stage it is really hard to manage it all, and you don't even have motivation to take all the gaysers, as you have just “enough”.

-Which is why the goal isn't global domination, it is to defeat your enemies.

    3) I would prefer upgrades to be bit faster and more expensive (at least in the later ages (iron/golden)), so it would still be important to try to get more money.

-Upgrades are constantly changing from version to version, I haven't decided what exactly I want to do with them then.

Also please direct further feedback @ the Staredit.net thread as Nibbits isn't good for this sort of thing.

  • The map is really good, and I played it several times (until I was too good in it to play it with random ppl ^^)

    Here are my points:

  • How long does what take? The terraining or the picture?

Terraining a 256x256 map in such detail does take a lot of time. The latest terrain took me about 3-6 days of constant work, with minor edits between versions. When I moved the map from 192x192 up to 256x256 it was a two week process getting the land shapes/formations right using a special combination of picture mapper and paint.

Making the picture takes about five minutes with SCMDraft 2. Save Image, resize with Photogadget free, open in Paint.NET, glow with 0/0/0 values to brighten it just the slightest bit, and upload to photobucket.
