I'm trying to make a custom map but i cant Figure out how to get the computers to work. I need an AI Script for them i think but i dont know how to get them.
Also, I can't figure out how to set MAKE computers start in my set locations every time. Its very frustrating!!

To make players start in the same location every time go to the Forces window and uncheck "Random Start Location". In Staredit and SCMDraft 2 you can find it under Scenario in the menubar at the top.
Ok I'll try it but what about making AI Scripts for computers? Is there a template that I can copy or something like that?
Random Start Location Unchecked under Scenario is unchecked and i still start in random areas. i tried it on three kingdoms and i started in different spots in 3/3 times. Is there anything else i can do?
Make sure random start location is unchecked for every force.
Scmd2 has a nasty habit of screwing up forces - each time you change force information (except force names, which seem to work fine), save, close, & re-open to make sure you got what you want.

I cant figure out the permanent starting locations and nthe AI Script for the computers to work properly. My Uncle and I have been workin on this for a full week now and are getting very anoyed with the programing bugs. Im sure the problem is easily fixable but we cant find it.

Remove the default 'melee' triggers.
Actually... look at them as examples first, then delete them.
Could you tell me how to do that because I dont see it under triggers.

That means you've got triggers in the map. A trigger action like "End scenario in victory/defeat" causes that.

What *exactly* do you want to have happen at every stage of the game? Starting cash? Defeat Conditions? Victory conditions?

Doesn't work. Most triggers rely on map-specific variables, like a trigger condition "bring 2 marines to Location 2".

It seems like at first you weren't using Use Map Settings. That would explain why any modifications you make to the map in the map editor have no effect. If you play the map in any setting other than use map settings it will just play like a regular melee game with the default melee triggers or other similar melee modes. So in the future just always set it to UMS when you're playing a custom map.

If I understand you correctly, this should be a relatively easy thing to do. The default melee triggers should work for what you're doing and you'll only need to add another trigger that will run an AI Script of your choosing.
The reason why it is defeating you is because unlike a melee mode game that automatically places command centers and SCVs at start locations, a Use Map Settings Game places nothing by default at the start locations when the game starts. What you will need to do is preplace command centers and SCVs for each player right on top of where the start locations are.
Also, it seems like you just want to play a Top vs Bottom meele game on your map with computers at the bottom. Have you tried using the Top vs Bottom melee mode?

@RozzKO: Are you setting the drop-down box to 'Use Map Settings' when picking the map in-game?
More than likely his problem the whole time, especially if the start locations are too close to minerals or have no room for a CC/Nexus/Hive at all. Or he's using one of the good editors that lets him save without placing start locations at all.
